Ismael Byaruhanga Kus, PhD

Ismael has 12 years of experience working in community-based program planning, implementing and teaching in rural areas as well as areas with difficult political and socio-economic circumstances.

He holds a Master degree in Communication for Congenital Deafblindness from University of Groningen (The Netherlands), a Master degree in Special Needs Education and a diploma in Clinical Audiology and Public Health Otology from University of Nairobi.

Ismael K. Byaruhanga received his post graduate Diploma in Clinical Audiology and Public Health Otology from University of Nairobi. He specializes in Hearing Impairment and also has a Master degree in Special Needs Education from Kenyatta University in Kenya, and a Master degree in Communication for Congenital DeafBlindness from Groningen University in the Netherlands.  He is a PhD candidate at University of Cologne in Germany.  He attended many short courses in Public Health Planning for Hearing Impairment from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in the United Kingdom (UK). Ismael has strengthened his skills in Pediatric Audiology by observing useful practice in Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary as well as in Boston Children’s Hospital in the United States in 2014 and 2018.
